Details of the first three DOCTOR WHO dvd’s of the new year have just been released and they are interesting and surprising choices. The first disc of 2005 will be THE HORROR OF FANG ROCK, starring Tom Baker,Louise Jameson and the woefully inadiquate Rutan green blob thing. March will bring the Patrick Troughton adventure THE MIND ROBBER– an interesting choice in that it would have seemed a more commercial story, such as GENESIS OF THE DALEKS or ATTACK OF THE CYBERMEN might come out around this time (as the new series is launched around then) however, TMR promises to show off the restoration teams unparallelled restoration skills. Finally, May brings the Jon Pertwee adventure, THE CLAWS OF AXOS – including the first appearance of the Delgado Master on DVD. Each adventure will come with the usual abundance of comprehensive special features and will have been digitally restored by the restoration team.
