The novella is a sequel to Sam’s 2012 novella Zombies At Tiffany’s, and sees the Victorian Steampunk heroine Kat Litefoot once more adventuring against creatures of the underworld. Stone said of the deal: “Like many of my readers, I fell in love with Kat the moment I put her on paper, and I wanted to see what she got up to after the great Zombie invasion of 1854. Telos are a fantastic publisher to work for, and I’m delighted that my new book will see print through them.”
Walker commented: “Sam Stone’s work always guarantees depth and quality in the writing, and I was delighted when she offered us Kat On A Hot Tin Airship! It combines her keen sense of humour and lightness of touch, with the psychological and effective horror for which she is known. Kat On A Hot Tin Airship will be snapped up by her legions of fans.”
Sam Stone’s first novel, Killing Kiss, won the silver award for Best Horror Novel in ForeWord Magazine’s Book of the Year competition, and her subsequent novels and short stories have gained her much acclaim, including winning the British Fantasy Award. She holds an MA in Creative Writing and is a noted public speaker and lecturer. Sam’s website is at www.sam-stone.com, and Telos Publishing is at www.telos.co.uk.
