Jack Bauer is Back

24: Redemption is a feature-length DVD special from television?s most provocative and suspenseful series and it arrives on DVD from the 1st December from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. 24: Redemption is both a stand alone thriller and bridges the gap between Seasons 6 and 7. It is the first new material from ?24? producers in over a year-and-a-half. has it been that long? I suppose with such other great series like Heroes and Lost it is easy to lose track of even such a powerful drama as 24.

When we last saw Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) he was standing on the precipice of a mountain cliff grappling with the reality that for all his heroics, he?d once more lost the woman he loved (as you do). The prequel catches up with Bauer four years later on the African continent where he has sought solace in missionary work.

Filmed on-location in South Africa and Los Angeles, 24: Redemption stars Emmy? award-winner Sutherland along with new series cast members Cherry Jones (Signs, The Perfect Storm), Robert Carlyle (The Full Monty, 28 Weeks Later), Gil Bellows (?Ally McBeal?), Tony Todd (Candyman, Final Destination) and Oscar? winner Jon Voight (National Treasure: Book of Secrets) as the malevolent defense contractor Jonas Hodges. The 24: Redemption DVD features an exclusive Extended Edition with explosive additional footage that will not be shown in the television broadcast, plus additional bonus features including cast/crew commentary, a behind-the-scenes on-location documentary and a sneak peek at the entire first act of Season 7 ? an absolute must for fans who need a new 24 fix !
