CAPTAIN EAGER AND THE MARK OF VOTH is set for take-off as ICA Films launch it on DVD on 24 November 2008.

Get prepared for intergalactic mayhem as square-jawed space hero Captain Eager (James Vaughan) is brought out of mothballs to investigate the villainous Colonel Regamun (Richard LeafHarry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Hannibal Rising), who has taken over the Veritan Sector using the mysterious ‘Mark of Voth’. Aided by old pal Scrutty played by Mark Heap (Spaced, Jam), long-lost love Jenny played by Tamsin Greig (Green Wing, Black Books, Love Soup) and Scamp the Rocket Dog, Captain Eager boards his wobbly Bakelite rocket and heads off for a B-movie showdown.

Captain Eager and the Mark of Voth is a wonderfully surreal space comedy that harks back to the innocent days of Eagle comics and Dan Dare, blessed with deliberately dodgy sets and tongue-in-cheek dialogue. Written and directed by Simon DaVison this Sci-Fi pastiche is billed as the first film ever to be shot in Card-o-Scope with effects dependent on traditional CGI (including cardboard and glue imagery).

The strong British comedic cast journey us through digital blunders as they accompany their ray-gun laden hero in this deep-space adventure, Captain Eager and the Mark of Voth.
