A dream introduction for an up and coming mega-star or what?
With that trilogy of excellent movies, came such a megastar-the ‘new breed of hero’ aka-Vin Diesel. Diesel, a hulking, brooding man, looks like he could either blow you away with dual magnums of read you a sonnet. Obviously, the ‘new breed’ is far removed from the days of Sly and Arnhult.
And, with xXx (Triple X for those of us who still call it xxx, which is something entierly different) the whole point, from the first, rock fuelled opening reel, with a square jawed OO7 alike mercilessly shot and flung into a crowd of pulsating clubbers, seems to be that this is different-this is new.
Billed as a James Bond for the 21st century, xXx has more than one pot shot at the original super spy, and also shares several things that make that series so great, the gadgets, the girls, the sheer absurdity of it all (xXx out r ]]>
