.The SCI FI channel today announces that it will be launching a +1 channel on the SKY platform from 3rd April.
Nick Betts, Managing Director, SCI FI channel, said: “”We’re obviously thrilled to be offering our viewers more choice and more time to watch their favourite programmes, but the launch of the +1 is, moreover, a hugely significant endorsement of our brand and the universal interest in the sci-fi genre. It also marks an important step in NBC Universal Global Networks UK expansion plans.”
Currently airing 80s sci-fi classic ‘V’ and Steven Spielberg’s Emmy award-winning alien abduction series ‘TAKEN’, the SCI FI channel has a weekly reach of around 3 million people. It features a continuous stream of cinematic hits, British TV premiere series and special events and brings viewers the best content from the worlds of the fantasy, science fiction, horror and the paranormal.
The SCI FI +1 channel will be available at SKY channel number 130 and will play out every day an hour later than the original channel (129).
